Which is the right package for me?

Wondering which program is the perfect fit for you? Schedule a FREE 30-minute Women's Weight Loss & Wellness Assessment call to discuss your needs and goals & ensure that you choose the right program for you.

Can I work with you if I'm outside the UK?

I'm able to offer coaching services both nationally & internationally as sessions are on Zoom.  However, currently, hormone testing is only available to women in the UK, although I hope to be able to offer this to international clients soon!

How does Hormone Testing Work?

Once you've signed up you will receive your hormone testing kit through the post with full instructions on how to collect your samples.   You will be asked to collect both urine and saliva samples at various points during the day so it's recommended that you make sure that you incorporate these timings into your diary to ensure you are able to collect them correctly.   Once your samples are collected you'll send it to the lab in the included postage paid bag.  Once the lab have received your samples they  will start the analysis which can take 7-10 business days.  You will then need to also complete a detailed onboarding questionnaire, covering your symptoms, diet, lifestyle & history.  Your lab results & questionnaire will enable the generation of a personalized plan which you should receive approximately 7 days after the lab send through the results.  Your report will show your test results & include a personalised plan with diet, lifestyle & supplement recommendations.

The day you collect the samples will depend on whether or not you still have a menstrual cycle.  The total approximate time between sending off your samples and receiving your report is 4 weeks.

Who isn't a candidate for hormone testing?

Unfortunately if you have the Mirena Coil or are on hormonal contraception you won't be able to test as they supress our natural hormones.  However, I can arrange for a 1:1 consultation with our hormone testing partners who can then create a personalised, 3 month plan with recommendations.

What if I want to continue to work with you after the program ends?

Rest assured, it's completely possible. Many clients discover additional areas of their nutrition and lifestyle they wish to focus on, especially if certain topics require more than one session. They value the ongoing accountability and support to solidify their newfound habits.

There is the flexibility to enrol in another program or purchase shorter-term packages or one-off sessions only available to previous clients.

Is this a diet and do I have to count calories?

Is this another restrictive diet focused on calorie counting? Absolutely not!

Menopause Weight Loss & Hormone Health Coaching is a holistic approach that goes beyond traditional dieting methods. We understand that most diets ultimately fail because they're not sustainable in the long run. Instead, we recognize the crucial role our hormones play in weight management during menopause.

Restricting calories during this transitional phase of fluctuating hormones can exacerbate the issue. That's why our program takes a different approach. We prioritize nourishing your body with the right nutrients to alleviate menopausal symptoms, release stubborn weight and promote overall well-being. It's about finding balance, supporting your hormones, and feeling your best throughout your journey. Say goodbye to restrictive thinking and embrace a nourishing and sustainable approach to health.

Do I have to cut foods out of my diet?

No. I do not recommend clients to cut whole food groups out of their diets. Of course, if a client has a medically diagnosed allergy or intolerance, has been advised as part of their hormone testing recommendations or has already made a choice to eliminate certain foods (for example vegans or vegetarians etc) then I will work with them according to their wishes. I fully believe that a healthy diet doesn't have to mean eating bland food or eliminating your favourite foods - it's all about balance.

Do you follow any particular way of eating or diet philosophy?

I am vehemently against restrictive diets and their short-term effectiveness. They often lead to a vicious cycle of deprivation and eventual rebound, wreaking havoc on your metabolism. Instead, I empower women to nourish their bodies in a manner that promotes hormonal balance and overall well-being.

I have discovered that adopting a blood-sugar balancing approach yields remarkable results. It's not about following a strict "diet" per se, but rather embracing a principle and way of eating that supports your body's needs. By learning how to properly fuel your body, you can experience long-lasting vitality and naturally manage your weight, without the need for obsessive calorie counting. It's about feeling good for life, rather than fixating on temporary measures.

How long do the consultation sessions last?

1:1 sessions last approximately 60 mins, although the initial onboarding session may take slightly longer (around 1.5 hrs).
Group sessions also last around 60 mins depending upon group number.
The hormone harmony package includes a consultation to go through the test results & personalised recommendations & lasts approximately 90 mins.

How do you analyse my current nutrition?

I use both nutritional software (Nutritics) and manual methods to analyse your current nutrition and lifestyle situation.

Can you diagnose me with a medical condition or treat a current medical condition?

No, this is for a medical professional.
I do not diagnose or treat any named conditions although I can help improve the functioning of body systems such as the hormonal endocrine system, through diet, lifestyle and supplement interventions that may have a positive effect on overall health and menopausal symptoms.

For example, I cannot diagnose or treat the following directly although I can help support underlying systems• IBS • High Cholesterol • High Blood Pressure • Hypothyroidism • PMS • Diabetes

In cases of complex health conditions I do recommend a referral to another healthcare provider such as in cases of:  • Cancer • Eating disorders such as bulimia, anorexia, orthorexia etc • Diagnosed Mental illness such as depression, autism spectrum, OCD etc • Complex autoimmune conditions such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, lupus • If the client is taking multiple medications for complex condition(s)

I cannot directly advise you whether or not to take HRT for menopausal symptoms as this is a very personal choice, although we can discuss the general topic and I am able to point you to the appropriate resources so that you can make that decision for yourself, in conjunction with your doctor.

Can you recommend supplements?

Yes, under certain conditions. If you have purchased hormone testing (or a consult with the hormone testing team) as part of your package you will receive supplement recommendations as part of your plan. I can also make certain supplement recommendations if your package does not include testing or NT consult - but only if you are not currently taking prescribed medication (including HRT).  If you are on over-the-counter medication I always recommend you get advice from a pharmacist before starting any supplements.

Do you offer a payment plan?

For my 1:1 and group programs I offer payment by instalments to help you spread the cost.  The Hormone Harmony package must be paid in full upfront.
